DESCRIPTION:Discover the wild side of Tampa Bay and beyond!\n\nHighlighting Wildlife Corridors and Celebrating the Centennial Year of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act\n\n\n\nExperience peak migration in some of the most important flyway stopovers in Florida. Learn about iconic species like alligators and panthers\, birding and nature photography tips from professionals\, plus the history and future of conservation efforts from local to global experts in their fields. This family-friendly festival also includes a variety of children's activities.\n\n \n\nFestival registration gives you access to a wide array of field trips exploring both coastal and inland destinations in a five-county region on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday\, October 14-16.\n\nRegistration also includes more than 25 on-campus programs Friday and Saturday\, on topics ranging from plants\, insects\, birds\, reptiles\, mammals\, and more! There are presentations for all skill levels\, including how-to workshops for creating wildlife habitat in your own back yard.\n\n \n\nSocial events are open to the public (festival registration not required)\, and they include buffet dinners along with captivating presentations at the historic Firehouse Cultural Center in Ruskin. \n\nSOCIAL EVENTS \n\nThursday\, October 13th   "Stewards of the Land\," discussion with Hillsborough County eco-visionaries.\n\nFriday\, October 14th   "The Global Owl Project\," keynote by project director David Johnson.\n\nSaturday\, October 15th   "Florida Wildlife Corridors\," keynote by explorer and photographer Carlton Ward\, Jr.
