This committee is a great opportunity to stay informed, get involved, and have a voice in issues that impact our local business community.
What the Legislative Affairs Committee Focuses On:
- Educating members on key legislative issues, policy proposals, and how upcoming elections and candidates may impact the local business community
- Connecting members with local, state, and federal officials through briefings, forums, and relationship-building opportunities
- Advocating for a strong business climate by gathering member input, tracking priorities, and supporting pro-business solutions in a nonpartisan, issue-focused way
Committee Guidelines:
The Legislative Affairs Committee operates as a nonpartisan forum for civic and business-related policy discussion.- We do not support or oppose any candidate, party, or ballot committee
- No campaigning, fundraising, or advocating for/against specific individuals during meetings
- The committee does not engage in zoning, rezoning, or specific land-use matters
- We welcome diverse viewpoints—please keep all remarks respectful and focused on issues
