Disadvantaged Minority/Disadvantaged Woman Business Enterprise (DM/DWBE)
The DM/DWBE programs provide an opportunity for disadvantaged minority/disadvantaged women to participate in the County's procurement program which includes construction, contractual services, professional consulting services, and commodities. The WOSB Federal Contract Program was implemented in February 2011 with the goal of expanding the number of industries where WOSB were able to compete for business with the federal government. For more information, click on "WOSB."
The Tampa Bay Black Business Investment Corporation, Inc. (TBBIC)
A US Treasury certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) dedicated to providing business and funding opportunities for the long-term growth and success of small businesses. TBBIC was established as a nonprofit in 1987 to serve business owned and operated by African-American entrepreneurs, providing loans to a historically under served market segment of the community, but now serves entrepreneurs of all ethnic backgrounds. The TBBIC also provides services to small business such as underwriting, analysis of business and personal financial statements, site visits, technical assistance - services that may not be cost effective for banks. Minority Business Development Agency
We support job growth and economic expansion through a network of MBDA business centers, collaboration and federal, state and local government agencies, and strategic partnerships.
