During the transition from middle school to high school, life changed for her; as Lea became a teen mom at 16 years old. She was in a domestic violence relationship and endured homelessness. Sarah Baez
Sarah was born and raised in WI where she completed her undergraduate degree at Alverno College. She relocated to Florida in 2013 with her husband, two children and her mother and worked in the telecom industry for 15 years before getting laid off. The layoff caused her to take a leap of faith and become an entrepreneur as the owner of CarePatrol of Bradenton serving seniors and their families in finding the best independent living, assisted living and memory care communities to suit their needs when living at home is no longer the safest or best option. Even though her company name is CarePatrol of Bradenton she serves seniors from Riverview to Sun City Center and more- free of charge.
When she’s not working, she’s taking her kids to participate in volunteer activities through the chamber and the Rotary Club of Sun City Center where she is currently an active member and just recently stepped down as secretary. Her enthusiasm and diligence earned her the ‘New Member of the Year’ award for 2021 and the ‘Community Leader of the Year Award’ in 2022 with the South Hillsborough Chamber of Commerce. The volunteer work has enabled her children to see community members that are less fortunate or able-bodied and how they can make a difference.
Yard work, house cleaning, trying to keep houseplants alive and tending to the two family dogs- a Black Mouth Cur/Lab mix and an energetic Siberian Husky- while listening to a good book are her more productive hobbies, while shopping until stores close is her more expensive hobby
